Cost Analysis:

With the assistance of Thornton & Fathy LLP, forming and operating your own foundation is not as costly as you might think.  We are committed to the success of each foundation under its management. Towards this end, it has developed a fee structure that links its success to the success of the foundation. Simply stated, we are motivated to do well for your foundation by generating contributions from sources other than the primary donor in a “Corporate Contributing Match Program”.

While the specific fee arrangement for any particular foundation will be determined on a case-by-case basis with factors such as the goals and objectives of the foundation taken into consideration.  Aside from startup fees, the initial capital contribution made by the donor will not be subject to management fees.

Startup fees include all costs required for the complete formation of the foundation including legal, tax and accounting and typically range between $3,700 to $5,000.

In many cases, depending on the celebrity/athlete’s public status and individual commitment to the purpose of the foundation.

In fact, in most cases, Thornton & Fathy LLP will earn its professional fees based solely on its performance in advancing the interests of the foundation.  We are a profit-making business established to provide professional services to non-profit entities and like all businesses, we must derive revenue and earn a reasonable profit.  However, unlike most of our competitors, we earn a good portion of our fees based on our ability to generate outside funding to advance the interests of the foundation. Each client (foundation) is different and unique unto itself, as are the fees and expenses we charge.
